Band Tool- BT
After choosing a proper band, determine
which of the posts on the Banding tool most fits
the shank and mortise of the pipe. Heat the band
with a propane torch, being careful not to burn
wood, then press the shank on to the selected
spindle pushing the band up on to the shank. When
you are satisfied as to the fit and placement
of the band, then place the banded shank into
the circular cavity of the banding tool and rotate
vigorously. This will give a nice even finish
to the band.
